Greetings! My name is Atima, and I am a part of Harvesters Widows’ Empowerment Program. When my husband died, his family accused me of his death and chose not to help me take care of our kids. With no support and no learned skills to be able to provide for my children, I was struggling hard.
In Yei, I have been blessed to have one meal at dinner for my family because of the help of my neighbors. I am trusting God will provide for my family, and I thank Harvesters for standing with us as widows whose joy and happiness has been shattered because of the death of our beloved husbands. I am continuing to learn valuable skills and building community with Harvesters. I am forever grateful for this life-changing opportunity!
