Uganda Primary School Project

Harvesters’ Primary School – Uganda will serve South Sudanese Refugee Children & Children from the Community

With the invitation of Ugandan officials, Harvesters assessed the needs within the Rhino Refugee Resettlement Center and determined its Christian Primary School model would be a good fit for educating the children in this region. With enthusiam from the local chief and the Ugandan government land within the Settlement Center was donated to Harvesters for the building and operating of a Primary School.

PROJECT’S SCOPE

Harvesters will build a Primary School composed of 10 classrooms and associated facilities over the course of four years. The entire school will include grad levels Preschool – Primary 7.

MULTI-PHASE CAMPAIGN | 2017-2021

This campaign will be held in four phases over the course of the next four years. Starting April 2017, we began raising funds for Phase I of this campaign.

PHASE I BUDGET: $204,114*

These funds will be used to construct the following buildings in preparation of opening and operating the school starting in February 2018:

– 3 Classrooms for Preschool 1-3
– 1 Classroom for Primary 1
– A Dining/Multi-Purpose Bldg
– A Kitchen
– A Teacher’s Office
– Student & Teacher Latrines
– A Borehole for Water
– A Fence
*This budget also includes the cost to operate the school for the first year.
