Does your church have a church bulletin? If so, please consider having a special section of the bulletin or your newsletter dedicated to missions and their respective updates.
Can you help us network? We’re always looking for partnerships with folks who have a heart for orphans, widows and those vulnerable.
Would your church be interested in learning more about the plight of orphans in South Sudan? Would you like to hear first-hand about serving in the mission field in the world’s newest country? We would be happy to come and make a presentation to your church, mission committee or other interested groups and share with you the amazing work the Lord is doing in South Sudan.
Consider holding an event on Orphan Sunday. In honor of this special day, Christians throughout America and around the world stand for the orphan. In James 1:27 we are called to defend the fatherless…to care for the child that has no family. Orphan Sunday is a great opportunity to rouse your church, surrounding community, friends and family to God’s call to care for orphans. You can visit
OrphanSunday.org for a multitude of ideas and resources for your church to take the lead in your community on Orphan Sunday.
If you have sent Mission teams to serve together with Harvesters, please take the opportunity to share their experiences in Sunday School classes, homegroups, bulletins, newsletters and mission dinners, etc. Have a mission’s bulletin board with photos and upcoming opportunities for the youth and adults to get involved in. Use social media as well to promote opportunities for the cause.
