Our sponsorship program ensures that we are able to meet our mission to disciple and educate vulnerable children through ongoing donations. We are working to realize a vision: a world where children are living as disciples of Christ, free from spiritual, economic and social poverty. As a sponsor, you will learn about your student and you will play a significant role in their development through your support and prayers.

To sponsor a student, it costs $19/month, $76/quarterly or $228/annually depending on how you choose to schedule your payments.

Yes, as you might imagine it costs us quite a bit more than $19/month to take provide education for a student. Since one of our goals is to keep the cost of sponsorship affordable so that more people can participate, we do take more than one sponsor per student.

It costs us approximately $228/annually to provide education to the 1,200+ students from the community who attend our schools.

We are a unique ministry where evangelism and discipleship are at the heart of what we do. We believe that the Gospel should be presented to children at an early age so that as the Holy Spirit works, they will come to know Jesus as their personal Savior. As a result, children can begin to develop Christian character, which is the outward expression of a new inward life. Through discipleship, we expect to see our children mature in their Christian life by learning and living Biblical principles through the example and encouragement of others.

Prayer is a critical link between our sponsors and our students. Your prayers for the health, safety, education and spiritual development of your student are critical. Students are greatly encouraged when they hear that their sponsors are praying for them.

Yes…please do! As a sponsor, you have an opportunity to communicate with the student you sponsor and we encourage you to do so. When you communicate with him or her, however, we ask you to provide comments and materials consistent with Christian values. We cannot forward photographs and other materials depicting activities that:

• Might be considered inappropriate in another culture.
• Promote lifestyle choices that we view as unhealthy and inconsistent with biblically based lifestyles or otherwise inappropriate for sponsored children.
• Might threaten the safety of the sponsored children in any way.

We ask that you do not send gifts. Another challenge with sending gifts is the fact that we have 1,200+ students from the community between our three primary schools. We’re sure that you can understand the challenges and potential hurt feelings among children when some receive gifts and others do not. So we respectfully ask that you do not send gifts for your sponsored student.

Yes. As a sponsor you are matched with a particular student and you will receive a profile card with their photo showing their date of birth and some information about them. You will receive communication regarding your sponsored child several times per year. This communication could include a drawing or letter from the child, an update from a teacher or caregiver, or an updated profile.

We provide help to provide education in communities where otherwise they would not be able to attend school at all. All of our students benefit from the support of our student sponsors. When they “graduate” from our Primary school, we financially support many of our orphans in secondary school and beyond through our Hannah Scholarship Student Sponsorship opportunities.

Harvesters’ child sponsorship program offers you an opportunity to stay with a student for a number of years while they are attending our Primary School. While we hope that you will be able to continue in your support of your sponsored student until he or she graduates to secondary school, we recognize that sponsors’ circumstances sometimes change. You may discontinue your sponsorship at any time.

Please understand that a sponsored child’s circumstances may change, too. We will inform you as quickly as possible if any such circumstance affects the child you sponsor, and we’ll offer you the opportunity to support another student to sponsor.

If you need to discontinue your sponsorship, we will update your account upon your request.

Rest assured though, your child’s or widow’s care and support will continue because our sponsorship program benefits all those in our care equally regardless of how many sponsors one has.
