Hi, I’m Bendita. I am pursuing nursing because I have a heart to care for others, especially the elderly. I hope to support patients not only physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. My training has been very meaningful, particularly during hospital practice where I am able to care for patients directly. I also value group discussions in class, as they allow me to learn from others and share my own understanding. With each semester, I have become more competent and confident. One challenge I face is the language barrier during internship at Arua hospital since most patients speak Iugbara. However, I am working hard to adapt so I can provide the best possible care for every patient.
God has continued to shape my spiritual growth during this season, as I actively participate in Sunday and Wednesday church fellowships and have joined outreach visits to the local women’s prison. I believe He is preparing my heart for what lies ahead, and I pray to be a light for Christ in my future role as a nurse. I am deeply grateful for the Hannah Scholarship Program, which allows me to continue my education and focus on this calling.
