Hi, I’m Leah. I am pursuing a diploma in Laboratory Technology with a particular interest in nutrition and caring for patients with diabetes. I would like to help others in my community the same way I have been helped through Harvesters. Now in my third year, my studies are going well, and I have adapted to the course load. One challenge I have faced recently is a language barrier during some of my hospital training, as different languages are spoken in these areas. I believe this experience will help me learn to communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients in the future.
I am thankful to have other believers attend my school, including some of my Harvesters’ brothers and sisters. We encourage one another through prayer and also meet regularly for Bible study and fellowship. I also attend weekly services at the local Calvary Chapel. I thank God for the privilege of participating in the Hannah Scholarship Program and am thankful to everyone who supports me. Thank you for praying that I will finish strong in my education journey and be a blessing to others.
