For over 15 years, Harvesters has offered quality residential orphan care. We currently care for nearly 200 orphans in Yei and Terekeka, South Sudan. The children live in small family groups led by housemothers. They are fed healthy meals, they have access to clean drinking water, they attend Harvesters’ Primary School (the top primary school in the area) and the health care provided is unmatched. Opportunities to learn life skills and training in vocations exist. Harvesters discipleship program for the children who live with us is deliberate and multifaceted. Our children participate in weekly prayer meetings, Sunday worship services, and discipleship groups. They also receive regular Bible readings and lessons in school.
In addition to orphan care:
- We operate two Primary Schools (Pre-K – 8th grade) for our orphans and hundreds of children from the community
- Our hospital cares for thousands of women and children
- Our churches disciple more than 470 children & adults with a total of 1000+ impacted through outreach efforts annually.
- We employ 150+ local African employees, 136 of which are South Sudanese.
We thank you for investing in the work God is doing through Harvesters. These are difficult days in South Sudan but this care for orphans and vulnerable children is needed now more than ever!
With your help, we are bringing hope and lasting change to the lives of children and through them we can reach the entire nation of South Sudan with the Gospel of Jesus. Your investment creates a significant impact in individuals and the community – one that is both immediate and eternal.
